The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” (NIV)
Director of Children's Ministry
Katharina Brandt was born in Germany to Lutheran parents. She went to college, however, in Georgia and South Carolina, and then met her husband in grad school in Richmond, Virginia, while studying for the ministry. Katie and her husband Doug have three sons.
Katie loves working with children, as she’s been doing throughout her adult years. She also loves to create systems and programs that help getting things done efficiently, and to everyone’s benefit. Most of all, however, she loves working to glorify Jesus our Savior, and to spread the knowledge about His amazing grace.
Katie’s favorite authors are C.S. Lewis (for non-fiction) and Randy Alcorn (for fiction). Her favorite Scripture verse comes from II Corinthians:
“So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” (II Cor. 4:18)
